How much water should I add?
Use the inner-pot scale line that matches the number of cups of rice. For example, if cooking 2 cups of rice, add water to the 2-mark line.
Can I cook brown rice?
Yes. DFB-B16C1 and DFB-B20K1 both have Brown Rice functions. B20K1 also provides approximate brown-rice cooking times up to 80 minutes depending on quantity.
Can I cook soup or porridge?
DFB-B16C1 supports Soup, and DFB-B20K1 supports Porridge/Soup. B12W1 manual says not to use it to cook porridge.
How long does Keep Warm last?
The digital models can remain in Keep Warm for up to 24 hours, but the manuals also caution not to keep food warm too long if you want to preserve texture and taste.
Does the cooker start automatically after I choose a menu?
On the digital models, you usually select the menu and confirm with Start/Cancel. Some menus may auto-enter the working state after a brief period without operation.
How do I clean the rice cooker?
Unplug first and let it cool down. Clean the removable insulation plate, wipe the sealing ring gently, wash the inner pot with a soft sponge, and do not immerse the body in water.
Can I use steel wool to clean it?
No. The manuals say steel wool should not be used because it can damage the cooker coating.
Why is my rice not cooking evenly?
Check that the inner pot is seated correctly, the outside bottom is dry, and there is no rice or residue on the heating plate or pot bottom.
