Learn how to cook white rice, brown rice, soup, and porridge with Bear rice cookers using the measuring cup and inner-pot scale line.

Basic Method
- Measure rice using the included measuring cup.
- Rinse rice in the inner pot.
- Add water up to the matching inner-pot line for the selected rice amount.
- Wipe the outer bottom of the inner pot dry.
- Place it into the cooker and rotate slightly to ensure full contact.
- Close the lid, choose the function, and press Start / Cook.
- Let the cooker finish automatically and switch to Keep Warm.

Soup & Porridge
- DFB-B20K1 supports Porridge/Soup. Default is 2 hours and can be adjusted from 1 to 4 hours.
- DFB-B16C1 supports Soup. Default is 2 hours and minimum is 1 hour.
- DFB-B12W1 manual says not to use it to cook porridge.
- Do not exceed the maximum scale mark when cooking soup, porridge, or dessert-style foods.
Better Rice Tips
- Use the inner-pot scale line instead of guessing water amount.
- After placing the inner pot into the cooker, rotate it slightly to ensure full contact with the heating plate.
- Do not open the lid while cooking.
- For better texture, let the rice rest for a few minutes after the Cook light switches back and before serving.
- Do not keep food warm too long if texture matters.
